High Street Quarter Hounslow

High Street Quarter: local jobs, training and apprenticeships for Hounslow

Barratt London and Wilson Bowden have delivered High Street Quarter, a 210 million pound mixed-use regeneration of Hounslow town centre: 588 homes, 134,000 sq ft of commercial space, a 10 screen Cineworld and a new public square. The work it creates, from construction and fit-out to permanent retail, leisure and cinema roles, should reach Hounslow residents first.

About High Street Quarter Hounslow

High Street Quarter is the regeneration of Hounslow town centre by Barratt London and Wilson Bowden, a 210 million pound mixed-use scheme designed by tp bennett. It delivers 588 new homes, 41 per cent of them affordable, including a 27 storey residential tower, alongside more than 134,000 sq ft of commercial space. The scheme is anchored by a 10 screen Cineworld, clad in gold tinted aluminium and set at the heart of a new public square. The cinema opened in May 2022 with ScreenX and Superscreen auditoriums and around 1,700 seats. New shops and restaurants sit around that square, with improved pedestrian routes connecting Hounslow High Street, the Blenheim Centre and the neighbourhoods on either side. A scheme of this size creates work across its whole life: construction and trades during build out, fit-out and shopfitting as units came forward, and permanent jobs in retail, hospitality, leisure and cinema operations now the scheme is trading. Opportunity Platform makes sure Hounslow residents are first in line for that work, connecting local people with the jobs, apprenticeships and training tied to High Street Quarter and to the London Borough of Hounslow's planning commitments. Hounslow town centre sits 10 minutes from Heathrow Airport with a resident catchment of 1.46 million, which puts the scheme's operational roles within reach of one of the largest employment markets in west London.
